The Story Behind Parenting on a Mission
Twelve years ago, I found myself questioning whether I was parenting in the best way for my son. I prayed fervently for guidance, believing deeply that no matter how good we are, there’s always room to grow and improve. I knew I didn’t have all the answers and sought wise counsel to help me navigate parenting challenges.
But instead of clarity, I often found myself even more confused—some people told me I was too strict, while others said I wasn’t strict enough. That period was a turning point for me. My son was navigating big transitions: he had just gone from being an only child to having a sibling and moved with us from New York to Florida. While he was happy about these changes, I knew they were significant, and I wanted to parent in a way that truly supported him through them.
My own parents’ approach had been consistent over the years, but I realized I needed to carve out my own parenting path—one rooted in my values and aligned with the unique needs of my children. I deeply desired to raise my children according to Godly principles, and that led me on a journey of discovery. Through prayer, encouragement from my husband, wisdom of others shared in books and courses, and plenty of trial and error, I began to find my way.
Now, with over two decades of parenting experience, I’ve had the privilege of raising children through many seasons of life. My journey has included 5 years of providing trauma-informed care as a foster parent, 5 years mentoring at-risk teens, and 8 years as an educator for students with unique abilities and emotional challenges.
I’ve learned that parenting isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being intentional, growing every day, and staying open to learning. I’m passionate about helping parents like you find clarity and confidence in your parenting journey, so you can raise children who feel deeply connected, supported, and loved.

I earned a Bachelor of Art in Sociology with a minor in Early Elementary Education from Lehman College in the Bronx, NY.
I have a Master of Science in Special and General Education with an extension in bilingual studies from Lehman College.
I also earned a Master of Arts in Christian Studies with an emphasis in youth ministry from Grand Canyon University.

Meet the Family Behind the Mission
Hi, we’re the Rabinowitz family, and Parenting on a Mission has grown out of the life we’ve built together.
Parenting has been one of the most rewarding and humbling parts of our lives. Over the years, our family has walked through many seasons—from blending our family and co-parenting to homeschooling, fostering, mentoring, and raising children with different personalities, strengths, and needs.
Each season has shaped the way we think about faith, connection, discipline, family culture, and what it means to lead a home with both truth and grace. Parenting on a Mission grew from those real-life experiences, along with years of study, teaching, and learning right alongside our children.
Jasmin
Author and Parent Coach
With over 20 years of parenting experience, my journey has been a tapestry of love, resilience, and growth. As a trauma-informed foster parent for 5 years, I’ve walked alongside children in their most vulnerable moments, offering them stability and care. My 5 years of mentoring teen girls taught me the transformative power of listening with an open heart, while 8 years as an educator for students with unique abilities and emotional challenges deepened my empathy and adaptability. Rooted in a professional background in education and coaching, I believe in creating a home where warmth meets structure and clear, loving boundaries lay the foundation for connection, trust, and thriving relationships.
Matthew
I was born in the Bronx, New York, and moved to Florida when I was nine. I began homeschooling in sixth grade and started dual enrollment at Daytona State College later that same year. I eventually earned my bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at 18 and now work in the IT field.
As a young adult, I bring my own perspective to conversations about faith, culture, family, and the questions facing my generation. My experiences growing up in a close-knit family, homeschooling, entering college at a young age, and stepping into adulthood have all shaped the way I see the world and the conversations I want to have.
Outside of work, I love boxing, music, trying new places to eat, fashion, spending time with family and friends, and traveling whenever I get the chance.
Aaron
When Jasmin and I married, I became a stepfather to our then 6-year-old son, Matthew, and stepped into the rewarding yet challenging role of co-parenting. Navigating the dynamics of being a stepparent—building trust with Matt and fostering a healthy relationship with his biological father—taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of clear communication. Those early lessons have profoundly shaped how I approach parenting and family life today.
My focus has always been on building a strong, stable foundation for our family. Whether navigating the ups and downs of parenting, fostering children, or mentoring boys, I’m passionate about creating an environment where every family member feels supported, valued, and heard. Together, Jasmin and I are dedicated to helping families discover their own unique paths toward growth, connection, and resilience.
